Earth Month at 620

Greetings all,

In celebration of Earth Month, Workplace Experience is excited to share how colleagues are living and working sustainably at 620 in the At The Times story Beyond the Last Bite.

Your participation in cafeteria programs like 620 Takeaway and Reusable Tableware is already making a measurable impact on our shared sustainability efforts. To build on that momentum, Times Dining is making it a little easier to go green this month:

  • Farmer’s Market Table (2:30 - 5:00 p.m., Eastern, All Month): A market-style display featuring fresh, seasonal produce for purchase to support local sourcing.
  • Plants & Herb Pots (All Month): Herb plants will be available for purchase and will be incorporated into daily café menus to reduce waste and reinforce a farm-to-table experience.
  • “Waste Not” Chef’s Table (Every Wednesday): A weekly experience featuring low-waste dishes.
  • Hydration Station (All Month): An infused water station using repurposed fruit peels to reduce food waste.
  • Chef’s Table Sampling Challenge (Earth Day, April 22): An interactive cook-off where guests vote for their favorite Earth Day-inspired dish.

By joining these initiatives, you help close the loop on waste and contribute toward making our company more sustainable.
